At Web Summit 2024, ocean sustainability was a central theme, with a focus on the urgent need for solutions to protect our oceans. Key discussions revolved around the intersection of technology and environmental impact, exploring how AI and other innovations can help monitor ocean health, reduce pollution, and promote sustainable practices.
Topics like blue carbon, marine conservation, and the role of the blue economy in mitigating climate change were also explored, with experts emphasizing the importance of collaboration between industries, governments, and civil society.
Sessions covered solutions to enhance biodiversity, reduce waste, and build sustainable coastal infrastructure, all aimed at ensuring the long-term health of our oceans.
The event highlighted the critical role that both technology and policy play in safeguarding ocean ecosystems and driving forward a sustainable future for marine environments.
We’re grateful for the opportunity to attend Web Summit 2024 in Lisbon, where we not only had the chance to engage with inspiring individuals but also to listen to thought-provoking speakers.
